De Lacy Executive has been retained to search for a Farms Maintenance Manager for a poultry producer. The successful candidate will be decisive and committed to the company and will supervise the build team and to deliver projects on time for the Agricultural team and focus on keeping within budget and reporting any additional costs. Responsibilities: Ensuring that the build team are organised daily Ensuring there are enough staff to carry out the required jobs as requested Staff Recruitment. Liaising with the Agricultural department and notify the managers of jobs not completed. Ensuring that the builders are following all Company procedures regarding: Bird Welfare Compliance with Freedom Foods and Red Tractor requirements High standards of biosecurity and housekeeping Supervising / assuming responsibility for build staff and building operation Maintenance/New Build construction Telehandler operation, not essential but would be an advantage Completion of daily reports and any other relevant paperwork Checking and approving of timesheets and ensuring all team members are clocking in/out Ensuring that all Builders/maintenance vehicles are well maintained, operated correctly and clean. Prevention and reporting of appropriate issues, malpractice, unhygienic or unsafe acts to the Area Manager/Head of Agriculture Follow company Health & Safety and Environmental procedures Carry out job related tasks on an ad-hoc basis as and when required Requirements: Ability to construct Tubular steel frame, Poly tunnels and mobile housing Previous experience with team Management Willingness to learn and embrace the High Welfare attitude of the Company Ability to communicate clearly and concisely Ability to accurately record information People management skills Full UK Drivers Licence Remuneration: A competitive salary is on offer for the successful candidate.
