Opportunity to join an award-winning team at a crucial time for the pig industry
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning National Pig Association team.
We are looking for a passionate and confident individual able to represent British pig producers in Whitehall and Brussels, with processors, caterers and retailers, and in the media.
The post of Senior Policy Advisor is a permanent position that will put the successful candidate at the heart of fast-moving representational politics at a time of unprecedented change for this iconic sector.
You will be part of a team known across the livestock industry for its ability to punch above its weight and to go ‘above and beyond’ in support of its members.
Being part of a small but highly motivated team means you will be guaranteed variety and responsibility in the role, but with the full support of the team in areas where you don’t currently have experience.
You will be responsible for a range of policy areas, most specifically health and welfare, and will have every opportunity to hone your communication skills both internally and externally. You will put your own stamp on the job. It will be challenging but highly rewarding.
Pig industry experience will be a big plus but is not imperative. Above all, we are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual, with a passion to learn and strong communication skills.
The salary will be competitive and the role will come with a number of benefits including flexible working, the option to be home based and generous holiday entitlement.
