THE JOB TITLE – TERRITORY SALES MANAGER

 

THE COMPANY: Our client is a progressive Agricultural Machinery Dealership representing a sought-after Global Tractor and Harvesting Brand as well as several other premium machinery brands. The Company has enjoyed significant and sustainable expansion over recent years, and in line with their continued plans are now seeking to further strengthen their team. A family-run business, the Company has cemented its current strong position through a robust emphasis on aftersales, and as such, customer satisfaction is consistently held in high regard. Of equal importance, the Company will provide a first-class training package for the successful candidate, providing the relevant tools and support to enable them to achieve the high success levels required

THE TERRITORY – Essex

 

THE ROLE – Territory Sales Manager with relevant commercial experience in the agricultural machinery sector

 

Duties & responsibilities:

 

* Management of a given sales territory

* Demonstration of Tractors, Harvesting Equipment and other agricultural machinery

* Ownership of sales process from start to finish, including finance package where applicable

* To attend manufacturer training courses both in the UK and abroad as part of Continuous Professional Development process

* To represent the Company at shows and other events on a local and national basis

* Seasonal working hours as required

* Promotion of the Company and its franchises at every opportunity

* To report to the Sales Manager on a weekly basis in line with an agreed sales budget

 

Essential Skills/Experience:

 

* A can-do attitude to sales and customer satisfaction

* Minimum of 2 years’ prior retail sales experience

* The hunger and determination to succeed

* The ability to plan your daily activities on both a short-term and long-term basis

* A strong sense of self-motivation

* The ability to work effectively on your own, coupled with a strong team player attitude in line with the Company’s family ethos

* Living in or prepared to relocate to Essex

* Full UK driving licence required

 

Desirable Skills/Experience:

 

* Experience of precision farming systems – RTK, GPS etc

* Knowledge of self-propelled sprayers and forage harvesters

* Local knowledge of farming practices within the Essex area
