 THE JOB TITLE – AREA SALES MANAGER

A well-developed customer service ethos underpins the Company’s activities, ensuring a strong local market presence over many years of successful trading.

THE SALARY – Competitive basic salary + OTE + vehicle + benefits

THE TERRITORY – Essex

THE ROLE – Area Sales Manager to actively manage sales of new and used equipment within a designated territory, maintaining and developing business with an established customer base as well as prospecting for new sales leads.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Management of a given sales territory

* Demonstration of equipment when is necessary

* Competent knowledge of construction equipment and the industry

* Ownership of sales process from start to finish, including finance package where applicable

* To attend manufacturer training courses both in the UK and abroad as part of continuous professional development process

* To represent the Company at shows and other events on a local and national basis

* Promotion of the company and its franchises where appropriate

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

 

* Combining sales experience and first-class knowledge of modern construction machinery

* Strong range of interpersonal and communication skills focused on forging productive business relationships with end users and supplier representatives

* Be familiar with working to agreed targets and capable of meeting or exceeding them

* Good working knowledge of finance products and how to use them to best effect in securing business

* Capable of demonstrating a persuasive business approach to negotiate effective deal closure

* Comfortable in demonstrating a wide range of construction machinery with a hands-on and practical approach

* A good standard of IT literacy including use of MS Office applications and CRM systems

* Capable of effective time management, ensuring that time spent on the road is efficient and productive

* Trailer licence would be an advantage but training will be given

* Full driving license - Essential
